Before using your book reference
Translations, revised editions and ebooks can differ from the first edition of a title. Cite the version actually used and check any contributor roles that matter to your required guide. A catalog lookup is a convenience rather than evidence that you read that exact copy. Keep the title page available when checking capitalization and publisher details. If the ISBN record is absent, manual entry can still produce a reference from verified bibliographic information.
