For a journal article, separate the article title from the journal title, volume, issue and pages. For a book, check the edition and publisher against its title page. For a webpage, use the page author and publication date rather than a footer year. APA title treatment depends on which of these fields is being formatted, so importing the entire reference as a title cannot produce a dependable result.
Review APA 7 in your manuscript
Keep all creators in the source metadata. APA 7’s shortened in-text author treatment does not justify deleting names from the reference data. Check sentence case while preserving proper nouns, and distinguish publication dates from retrieval dates. Add a quotation page separately in the manuscript; the page range of an article describes the source as a whole.
